Some of my best paintings have been the simplest compositions. With this one I have taken a simple alleyway , set in New York; the location made obvious by the fire escapes and raining steam from the alleyway. A couple are making their way back from an evening out and - on impulse - have decided to dance through the falling rain. Again I have used the cool colours achieveing the 50's movie feel.
