Laura Tinald’s paintings have been exhibited at galleries, salons and restaurants in and around London since she graduated from The University for the Creative Arts in 2009. They were also showcased in Ibiza in 2011. In 2009, Laura created illustrations for the book, D.I.Y Fashion by Selena Francis Bryden, and has since provided illustrations for creative company Make Believe, hat designer Niamh Flannagan, Your Eyes Lie, Graduate Fashion Week, and several promotional campaigns for club events in London including Electric Ballroom. Such work led to an influx in private commissions and in 2012 Laura was commissioned to create imagery to adorn hoardings on London’s Portobello Road. Most recently, Laura created illustrations for beauty website ‘A Beautiful World’, featuring her trademark illustrative style of fluid lines and strategically placed messy splatters of ink. Laura’s stylized paint strokes are consistent through her body of work, something that her tutors at Art College advised she should steer away from. Ignoring their advice completely, Laura continued to hone her skills and evolve the style of painting that she loved and which today defines each piece she creates.
