Sue Howells
Born in Birmingham in 1948, Sue Howells is a self trained artist now working full time as a painter. Sue has won numerous awards and has had sell out shows all over the world. Although based in the Midlands, Sue Howells spends much of her time in Pembrokeshire recording the moody and winter atmosphere of its coastal towns. Sue Howells paints solely in watercolour, aiming to produce pictures which are both energetic and of a strong compositional value. By using great economy of brush strokes she works as loosely as possible, letting the paint speak for itself because watercolours can be controlled, but never bullied.
